Emmy award winner Melissa McCormick is the owner and core media producer of PLUG. She has been producing films and reporting professionally since 2005. As a former journalist in two top 50 television markets, she has reported, hosted, produced and written news stories, articles, commercial video scripts and website content. McCormick’s film work and writing has appeared on FOX News Channel programs including “On the Record” and “Studio B” as well as in popular online publications such as Ehow.com, Livestrong.com and Tyrabanks.com.
McCormick has had the opportunity to conduct one-on-one interviews with notable people such as Senator John McCain during the 2008 presidential election and Elizabeth Edwards during the 2004 Presidential Election. She has also reported and produced stories on major events featuring President Barack Obama, President Bill Clinton, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and former Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld. In addition, McCormick has interviewed celebrities such as Ben Affleck, Ryan Seacrest and Lynn Swann. Her work has been honored with several awards including two Emmy nominations and one Emmy award.
McCormick has also produced marketing films for well-known organizations such as the Hudson River Powerhouse Group, TaxTalent, PocketSmith and JobMetrx, including appearing as the spokesperson in many of the videos.
Currently, McCormick produces videos and photography for Plug and is a freelance writer for several online publications. In her spare time, she creates handbags sold on her Etsy store - McCormick Handmade.
